In Salah, Algeria: The In Salah CO2 storage project is a pioneering international Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project at Krechba, In Salah, central Algeria. Carbon dioxide is separated from the natural gas and is injected into a deep saline Carboniferous sandstone formation down-dip of the gas producing horizon. About 4 millions tonnes of CO2 was injected from 2004-2011. Ground motion during injection period is very well known. The objective of this study is to find out response of the ground to injection shut-in few years after the operation.
